The multinational air exercise INIOCHOS 2024 started at Andravida Air Base in Greece with the participation of the Royal Saudi Air Force and other air forces of several brotherly and friendly countries, SPA reported.
The commanding pilot of the Saudi team participating in the exercise, Lieutenant Colonel Abdulaziz Al-Harbi, said that the Air Force is participating with the Typhoon aircraft system with all its air, technical, and support crews, noting the preparations that preceded the exercise during the past months to make the most of its output for all crews.
The lieutenant colonel explained that the exercise aims to raise the level of readiness and combat efficiency of the participating Air Force personnel to qualify them to carry out the tasks assigned to them, to train them to operate far from the main bases, and to enhance their skills by flying in a different environment and topography in the presence of different systems and capabilities.
Al-Harbi stressed that several diverse combat air operations will be carried out with the participation of planning cells and command of air missions and campaigns, in addition to missions of forward intelligence and air control during close air-support operations.
