King Abdulaziz Foundation Organizes ‘Saudi-Chinese Relations’ Seminar in Beijing

The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), in cooperation with the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, held in Beijing a scientific seminar on cultural and economic relations between Saudi Arabia and China, the Saudi Press Agency said Sunday.
The seminar, which was part of the Beijing International Book Fair, covered several topics, including maritime trade between the two countries and their cultural and economic impacts, the role of Chinese libraries in caring for Arabic manuscripts and preserving Arab heritage, and Arab heritage in China.
The Kingdom was the guest of honor at the Book Fair that was held between June 19 and 23.
The strategic partnership between the two nations has been boosted in the 21st century by the numerous agreements of cooperation in the fields of energy, trade, and investment.
Both countries took part in activities that promote global trade, including in joint projects that aimed to develop ports, railways, and industrial zones.
Cultural exchanges and academic programs have contributed to increasing the understanding between the two peoples, and the Saudi Vision 2030 has increased the scope of economic cooperation with China in areas like technology, renewable energy, and infrastructure development.
China has established digital and public libraries containing Arabic books and manuscripts. Numerous universities in China teach the Arabic language.

Qatar and Bahrain congratulated on Saturday the Saudi leadership on Founding Day.

Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani sent cables of congratulations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the occasion.

Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa sent King Salman and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, cables on the occasion.

In his cable to King Salman, King Hamad wish him continued health and happiness and the people of Saudi Arabia further progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.

He hailed Saudi Arabia for its achievements across various sectors, which have strengthened the nation's position regionally and internationally.

He expressed his profound pride in the deep-rooted relations binding the two countries and their peoples, noting the continuous growth of these ties across all levels.

Saudi Leadership Donates SAR70 Million to the National Campaign for Charitable Work

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, donated SAR70 million to the sixth edition of the National Campaign for Charitable Work, through the National Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan), which was launched in Riyadh on Friday.

King Salman donated SAR40 million, while the Crown Prince donated SAR30 million. The donations are an extension of the generous and unlimited support provided by the wise leadership for charitable work in the Kingdom.

Ehsan Supervisory Committee Chairman Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi expressed his gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed for their generous donations.

The Ehsan platform continues to receive donations throughout the holy month of Ramadan from individuals and organizations through its website, mobile application, dedicated telephone number, and designated bank account.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov congratulated each other on Thursday on the centenary of diplomatic relations between their countries.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji received, on behalf of the foreign minister, a letter from Lavrov during a meeting with Russian Ambassador to the Kingdom Sergey Kozlov in Riyadh.

The diplomats exchanged congratulations on the centenary of diplomatic relations and discussed several issues of common interest.
