Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a telephone call on Wednesday from Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantinos Kombos, the Saudi Press Agency said on Wednesday.
The two ministers discussed the current developments, focusing on the crisis in the Gaza Strip and its security and humanitarian repercussions.

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi extended his congratulations to Joseph Aoun on his election as Lebanon's president.
Albudaiwi extended his heartfelt wishes for Aoun’s success in meeting the aspirations of the Lebanese people, particularly in achieving stability, prosperity, and development. He also emphasized the GCC's commitment to further strengthening the longstanding and historic relations between the Council and Lebanon.
Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC's unwavering stance, as outlined in the final statement of the 46th Extraordinary Meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council, in support of the Lebanese people.
He emphasized the Council's continued commitment to Lebanon’s sovereignty, security, and stability, along with its steadfast support for the Lebanese Armed Forces in safeguarding the country’s borders.

Albudaiwi also highlighted the critical importance of fully implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which aims to restore lasting security and stability in Lebanon and ensure respect for its territorial integrity.
He reiterated the importance of the Lebanese government exercising full control over all Lebanese territories, in line with the relevant Security Council resolutions and the provisions of the Taif Agreement.
