Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met with Geir Pedersen, the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Syria, on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York City, the Saudi Press Agency said on Saturday.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations regarding the Syrian file, the efforts of the Arab Ministerial Liaison Committee on Syria, and the regional developments and their implications on the region.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.
In addition, Prince Faisal met with Prime Minister of Grenada Dickon Mitchell, alongside Grenada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Export Development, Joseph Andall. The officials explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation across various sectors. The Saudi Ambassador to the US was also present during this meeting.

Saudi Arabia Condemns Israel’s Persistent Aggression against Defenseless Civilians in Gaza

Saudi Arabia strongly denounced on Friday Israel’s military escalation against unarmed civilians in Gaza and its recent strike targeting the European Hospital in Khan Younis that left dozens dead and injured.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing the Kingdom’s condemnation of the continued Israeli military escalation and its repeated assaults on the Palestinian people, the Saudi Press Agency said on Friday.

The Kingdom reiterated its unequivocal rejection of the ongoing Israeli acts of genocide and called for an immediate ceasefire. Saudi Arabia also held Israel fully responsible for its continued violations of all international and humanitarian norms and laws.

The Kingdom also emphasized the legal, humanitarian, and moral responsibility of the international community to activate international accountability mechanisms and to put an end to Israel’s ongoing violations of international laws and resolutions.
