Saudi Arabia Slams Israeli Move to Turn UNRWA Location in Jerusalem into Settlement Outpost

Saudi Arabia strongly condemned on Sunday Israel’s decision to confiscate and turn into a settlement outpost the land on which the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is located in occupied Jerusalem.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry stressed the Kingdom’s rejection of the continued flagrant Israeli violations of international laws and resolutions, done with impunity, and its systematic political and military targeting of UN agencies and relief organizations, endangering the live of their workers.

It expressed the Kingdom's support for UNRWA’s humanitarian mission of providing relief assistance to Palestinian refugees.
