Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met in the Russian city of Kazan with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the Saudi Press Agency said on Thursday.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of Saudi Arabia's participation in the BRICS Plus 2024 Summit as a country invited to join the bloc.
During the meeting, they discussed the developments in the Gaza Strip and their security and humanitarian repercussions.

The Secretariat General of the Muslim World League (MWL) on Saturday condemned the Israeli military attack on Iran, cautioning against the danger and serious repercussions of escalation.
The MWL urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and work to solve these conflicts and their repercussions, address their underlying causes, and remain vigilant for their early warnings.

Also, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi issued a statement condemning the Israeli military targeting of Iran, describing this action as a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and a breach of international laws and norms.
He reaffirmed the council's rejection of these military operations and called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid the consequences of continued military conflicts in the region.
Albudaiwi also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and work to de-escalate the situation.
