Saudi Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel has met with China's Minister of the National Health Commission (NHC) Lei Haichao in Beijing to discuss opportunities for collaboration in the healthcare sector.
Thursday’s discussions focused on efforts to address health challenges and leverage shared expertise to enhance the quality of healthcare services in the Kingdom.
The meeting culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at bolstering cooperation across various health-related domains.
The agreement builds on the robust partnership established during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in epidemic prevention, preparedness, and control.
It also supports international organizations and multilateral mechanisms to address global health challenges and establishes strategic partnerships in healthcare to capitalize on opportunities that advance health transformation goals in both nations.
Al-Jalajel expressed his appreciation for Haichao’s invitation, commending the significant progress achieved by both nations in healthcare, technology, research, development, and innovation.
