Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohammed Albudaiwi condemned the horrific massacre in the Nuseirat camp in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the death and injury of dozens of innocent civilians, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.
He emphasized that this atrocity is yet another in a long series of crimes perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.
Al-Badawi called on the international community to take urgent and decisive action in accordance with international laws and human rights treaties to stop Israel’s crimes, which constitute a flagrant violation of both international and humanitarian laws.
He also welcomed the recent resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly, including the resolution calling for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to besieged civilians. Additionally he welcomed the resolution supporting the mandate of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which is crucial to maintaining its vital services for Palestinian refugees during this ongoing crisis.
