Saudi Arabia Expresses Condolences to South Korea after Plane Crash

Saudi Arabia Expresses Condolences to South Korea after Plane Crash

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Sunday the Kingdom’s condolences to the families of the victims, and to the government and people of South Korea, following the crash of a passenger aircraft.

In a statement, the ministry wished the injured speedy recovery.

The crash killed 179 people, when the airliner belly-landed and skidded off the end of the runway, erupting in a fireball as it slammed into a wall at Muan International Airport.

Jeju Air flight 7C2216 was arriving from the Thai capital Bangkok with 175 passengers and six crew on board when it crashed.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent a cable of condolences to US President Joe Biden on the victims of the terrorist incident that took place in the city of New Orleans.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said: "We have learned of the news of the terrorist incident that took place in the city of New Orleans, resulting in deaths and injuries. As we condemn this heinous act, we express to Your Excellency, the families of the victims, and the friendly people of the United States of America our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy. We wish the injured a speedy recovery.”
According to SPA, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has also sent a cable of condolences to Biden, saying: "I have learned of the news of the terrorist incident that took place in the city of New Orleans, resulting in deaths and injuries. As I condemn this act, I express to Your Excellency, and the US friendly people my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy. I wish the injured a speedy recovery.”
