Saudi Leadership Offers Condolences to Turkish President over Fire Victims in Bolu

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent on Tuesday a cable of condolences to Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the victims of a fire at a ski resort in the Bolu region.

He expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Turkish president and the families of the deceased, wishing a swift recovery for all the injured.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent Erdogan a similar cable of condolences.

A fire at a ski resort hotel in Türkiye’s Bolu mountains killed 76 people and injured dozens on Tuesday.

Erdogan declared Wednesday a day of national mourning after the incident.

Minister of Human Resources Meets with UN Women Executive Director

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Family Affairs Council Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi met with UN Women Executive Director Sima Sami Bahous and her accompanying delegation, SPA reported.
The meeting discussed areas of mutual interest, including preparations for Saudi Arabia’s presidency of this year’s 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).

It also reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance women’s status and the initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030 aimed at empowering women across various sectors.
Both sides emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthen cooperation with UN Women in implementing joint programs and projects to support women’s empowerment and economic participation.
