Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and his Japanese Iwaya Takeshi co-chaired on Monday the second strategic dialogue meeting between Saudi Arabia and Japan in Tokyo.
Prince Faisal emphasized that the 70 years of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom and Japan reflect the enduring partnership and shared values between the two nations.
He expressed optimism about further strengthening bilateral ties and underscored the importance of the strategic dialogue in achieving tangible results for both countries.
The meeting reaffirmed the deep-rooted Saudi-Japanese relations and the need for continued cooperation across various fields.
Two memoranda of understanding were signed during the meeting One aims to establish a strategic partnership council between Saudi Arabia and Japan, and the other to exempt holders of diplomatic and special passports from short-term visit visas.
