Saudi Arabia has welcomed a call from Abdullah Ocalan, the founder of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), for the dissolution of the group and the laying down of arms, expressing solidarity with Türkiye.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Friday, Riyadh voiced its hope that this appeal would lead to concrete steps toward peace, security, and prosperity.
Ocalan’s historic declaration, made on Thursday in Istanbul, urged all armed groups to disarm and called for the complete dissolution of the PKK, marking a potential turning point in the long-running conflict.
