Kuwait Praises Saudi Arabia's Efforts in Hosting US-Russia Talks

The State of Kuwait has welcomed diplomatic efforts to end the Ukraine crisis.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in hosting talks between the US and Russian sides, reflecting its active role in promoting international peace and security, SPA reported.
The ministry praised the recent phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, considering it an important step towards de-escalation, halting the conflict, and enhancing regional and international stability.
The ministry highlighted Kuwait's consistent and supportive stance on diplomatic solutions to crises, reiterating its support for all initiatives to end conflicts and achieve sustainable peace.

Kuwaiti authorities revoked on Thursday the citizenship of 1,292 persons, a decision to be presented to the cabinet for deliberations.

Chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, the Higher Committee on Verification of Kuwaiti Citizenship decided to revoke the citizenship of 1,292 persons, KUNA said.

The decision, based on articles 10 and 11 of the citizenship act 15 (1959), will be tabled to the cabinet, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior.
