Saudi Leadership Offers Condolences to Thai King over Bangkok Earthquake Victims

The Saudi leadership has expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the King of Thailand following the tragic earthquake that struck Bangkok, the Saudi Press Agency said on Saturday.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent a heartfelt message to King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand, offering his sincere sympathies to the monarch, the families of the victims, and the people of Thailand. In his message, the King also wished a swift recovery to those injured in the disaster.

Similarly, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, conveyed his condolences in a cable to King Maha Vajiralongkorn. The Crown Prince extended his deepest sympathies to the victims' families, the Thai people, and the injured, expressing hopes for their quick healing and recovery.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, met on Monday with Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, in the Al Jabal Al Akhdar area of Oman during his official visit to the Sultanate.

The two officials reviewed the fraternal relations between their countries and discussed ways to strengthen them across various fields. They also addressed regional and international developments, and the efforts made in this regard, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.

The two ministers visited the Rub’ Al-Khali border crossing linking the Kingdom and the Sultanate, where they reviewed modern facilities, including passenger processing halls and logistical and administrative services aimed at promoting travel, trade exchange, and ease of movement between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Oman Ibrahim bin Bishan and Director General of the Office of the Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Ismail.
