Saudi King Receives Message from Liberia’s President

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received a verbal message from President of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, highlighting the firm relations between the two countries and their peoples, and focusing on the ways to promote cooperation.

The message was conveyed during a meeting between Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed El Khereiji and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia Sara Nyanti at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Riyadh on Wednesday, the Saudi Press Agency said.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Liberia and explored avenues to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments of common concern.

Saudi Arabia on Wednesday expressed concern over the escalating tension between India and Pakistan and the continued exchange of fire along the border areas.
A statement issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry said the Kingdom called on both nations to de-escalate and resolve their disagreements through diplomatic channels.

It also called on them to uphold the principles of good neighborliness, and strive for stability and peace in a manner that serves the interests of their people and the region.
