Saudi Arabia offered on Sunday its condolences to Sudan following the collapse of a gold mine in the Houeid area.

A gold mine partly collapsed in eastern Sudan, killing 11 miners, the state-run company in charge of the project said Sunday.

A Saudi Foreign Ministry statement expressed the Kingdom's solidarity and support for the government and people of Sudan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

A second Saudi relief plane has landed at Aleppo International Airport in Syria, delivering urgent humanitarian aid, including shelter materials, to those affected by the recent fires in Latakia Governorate.

The relief operation is spearheaded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, marking the 18th flight in the ongoing Saudi airlift dedicated to assisting the Syrian people.

This aid underscores the Kingdom's continuous relief and humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian population, embodying Saudi Arabia's significant humanitarian role through KSrelief in supporting those in need and affected communities worldwide.
