Russian President Vladimir Putin briefed on Tuesday Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the outcomes of his recent talks with US President Donald Trump.
Crown Prince Mohammed stressed the Kingdom’s continued support for diplomatic dialogue to resolve international disputes.
Putin, for his part, expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s and the Crown Prince’s constructive efforts toward promoting peace.
The two leaders also discussed opportunities to boost cooperation between their nations across various fields.
A statement from the Kremlin said they tackled Russian-Saudi political, trade, economic and investment cooperation.
They praised the joint efforts within the OPEC+ framework to maintain stability in global oil markets, it added. They agreed to maintain cooperation in various fields.
Trump and Putin held telephone talks on Monday night to brief him on the meetings he held with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders.
Trump and Putin had met in Alaska on Friday to discuss the Ukraine conflict.
