Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik and Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah held talks in Muscat on Tuesday on bolstering the economic partnership between their countries.
The leaders explored opportunities to boost partnership and investment between their countries across various sectors, in line with the aspirations of the Omani and Kuwaiti peoples, reported Oman’s state news agency ONA.
They discussed a number of shared topics and issues, emphasizing the importance of opening new avenues for economic, commercial, and investment cooperation.
The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs; Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority and Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals.
The meeting was attended from the Kuwaiti side by Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Minister of Defense; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA); retired Lieutenant General Jamal Mohammed Al-Theyab, Director of the Amir’s Office, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation(KPC), Sheikh Saud Salim Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) and Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Hajiri, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Sultanate of Oman.
