The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s “strong condemnation” of the Israeli Knesset’s preliminary approval of two draft laws aimed at imposing Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and legitimizing Israeli sovereignty over an illegal colonial settlement.
The Kingdom stressed “its complete rejection of all settlement and expansionist violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation authorities,” reiterating its firm support for the legitimate and historical right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with relevant international resolutions.
The ministry also emphasized the need for the international community to assume its full responsibility by enforcing international resolutions, halting all blatant Israeli attacks on the Palestinian territories and people, and advance the peace process based on the two-state solution to achieve lasting security and stability in the region.
