The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) has concluded its field training for the special forces of the Gambia, marking the final phase of the "Competence Initiative" designed to enhance operational readiness against terrorist threats.

The training included advanced exercises such as building clearance, complex combat scenarios, urban maneuvering, armed engagement, hostage management, and live-fire drills, all simulating real operational environments.

It was delivered by IMCTC military experts, who conducted drills focused on improving coordination, response speed, accuracy, and high-risk situation management, enabling Gambian forces to perform their duties effectively, SPA reported.

This initiative is part of a broader series of military programs by the coalition in its member states, aimed at skill development, readiness enhancement, and establishing a foundation for joint military action, thereby reinforcing IMCTC's role in promoting stability and combating terrorism globally.
