The Saudi government stressed on Tuesday the Kingdom’s rejection of any attempts “to create parallel entities that undermine Somalia's unity, territorial integrity, or national sovereignty.”

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet meeting that was held in Riyadh.

The Cabinet welcomed the outcomes of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's extraordinary meeting on Somalia in Jeddah that stressed the Kingdom’s stance on Somalia.

The Cabinet reviewed recent high-level discussions between the Kingdom and various countries, focusing on regional developments, ongoing efforts to anchor security and peace, and the Kingdom's commitment to multilateral initiatives that drive global stability and foster collective responses to shared challenges.

The Cabinet reiterated the centrality of the Palestinian cause, stressing the Kingdom's unwavering support for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. These efforts aim to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and to establish an independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Cabinet commended the successful conclusion of the Gulf Shield 2026 joint military exercise, hosted by Saudi Arabia. Featuring the air and air defense forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the GCC Unified Military Command, the exercise underscored the commitment to boosting regional defense cooperation and strengthening collective military readiness.

The Cabinet reviewed several high-profile economic events hosted by the Kingdom, specifically highlighting the Saudi-Japan Ministerial Investment Forum and the Saudi-Canadian Business and Investment Forum. The summits resulted in numerous memoranda of understanding across strategic sectors, including space, cybersecurity, ICT, manufacturing, education, finance, water, and agriculture.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held separate phone calls on Thursday with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy to discuss the latest attacks on Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Abdelatty condemned the attacks on Abha and King Khalid International airports, warning that assaults on Saudi territory threaten regional security and stability. He reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for safeguarding its security, stability and territorial integrity.

The two ministers also discussed regional developments and the importance of continued coordination to promote security and stability.

Fahmy also condemned the continued Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, stressing that the Kingdom’s security is an integral part of Arab national security. The two sides discussed regional developments, strengthening the Arab League’s work and enhancing its role in addressing regional challenges.

UK, UN, Arab and Islamic Bodies Condemn Houthi Attacks on Abha and King Khalid Airports

The UK, United Nations, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Palestine, Sudan, Al-Azhar, and the Arab Parliament have strongly condemned Houthi militia attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s Abha and King Khalid airports, reaffirming their rejection of attacks on civilian infrastructure and calling for regional security and stability to be maintained.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) affirmed that the United Kingdom stands alongside Saudi Arabia in the face of reckless attacks by the Houthi militia.

Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General Stéphane Dujarric denounced the attacks and said during the daily press briefing that attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure are prohibited under international humanitarian law.

Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, the Palestinian Presidency, Sudan, Al-Azhar and the Arab Parliament also issued statements condemning the terrorist attacks against Saudi airports and civilian facilities.

They said the attacks are a flagrant violation of international law, threatening Saudi Arabia’s security and stability, and seek to undermine the security and stability of the entire region.

They reaffirmed support for Saudi Arabia and called for an immediate halt to the attacks and respect for states' sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) had said that three people were killed and 36 injured in two separate attacks on its Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, a Saudi relief plane operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) arrived in Nepal carrying various relief supplies.

A specialized team from KSrelief will coordinate aid distribution with relevant local authorities to ensure it reaches individuals affected by the recent floods that struck Nepal, causing significant loss of life and property damage, SPA reported.

Saudi Ambassador to Nepal Fahd bin Mnikhr stated that this support reflects the Kingdom's commitment, under the directives of its wise leadership, to stand with friendly nations to alleviate the humanitarian impact of natural disasters.

He added that the initiative highlights the Kingdom's leading role in bolstering international humanitarian efforts.
