Kuwait's National Guard announced on Tuesday the downing of six drones in northern and southern regions of the country.
National Guard spokesman Jadaan Fadhel said the move was part of ongoing efforts to bolster security, protect vital locations and confront any potential threat.
He called on everyone to respect safety and security instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
The National Guard, army, police and fire fighting department are ready to handle any threats and firmly confront anything aimed at destabilizing the county in order to maintain its sovereignty, security and stability and protect its national interests, he stressed.
The Defense Ministry had on Monday said air defense intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles in southern Kuwait. They also shot down a drone.
Meanwhile, the Information Ministry called on people to respect media coverage regulations and to obtain information from official sources, saying it was prohibited to circulate rumors and unconfirmed information.
It also warned against posting any content that is harmful to sisterly or friendly countries and anything that may harm Kuwait’s foreign relations.
