Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a series of phone calls on Wednesday with several counterparts to discuss the ongoing regional developments and efforts to maintain security and stability, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
During a call with Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong, the two sides reviewed the latest developments related to the escalating situation in the region and discussed issues of mutual interest.
In a separate call with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, Prince Faisal expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation of the blatant Iranian attack targeting the Port of Salalah. He affirmed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with the Sultanate of Oman and its readiness to place all its capabilities at Oman’s disposal to support any measures undertaken to safeguard its security and the safety of its territory and citizens.
The two ministers also discussed the repercussions of recent developments on regional and international security and stability.
The Saudi Minister also held a phone call with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty, during which the two sides reviewed the latest developments related to the ongoing regional crisis and the efforts being made to preserve security and stability.
In another call with Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the two ministers discussed the latest developments regarding the military escalation in the region and diplomatic efforts aimed at containing the crisis and maintaining regional stability.
