Saudi Arabia Condemns Iranian Attacks on Kuwaiti Military Camp and Infrastructure

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns in the strongest terms the heinous Iranian attacks targeting a camp belonging to the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, as well as a power and water desalination plant in the State of Kuwait, which resulted in injuries to a number of Kuwaiti Armed Forces personnel, SPA reported.

The Kingdom emphasizes that these cowardly attempts by Iran and its blatant conduct toward the countries of the region confirm the continuation of an unjustifiable hostile approach under any circumstances.

Such actions constitute a clear violation of international laws and norms, as well as the principles of good neighborliness, and risk further escalation in the region.

The Kingdom expresses its sincere wishes for a swift recovery to the injured, and prays for the continued safety and security of Kuwait, its leadership and people.

Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the attacks targeting the residences of the leader of autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan, Nechirvan Barzani, and the attacks targeting Iraqi Kurdistan, the Saudi Press Agency reported Sunday.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said a statement: "Saudi Arabia emphasizes its rejection of anything that threatens the security and stability of Iraq and affirms its solidarity with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, as well as its support for their security and stability."

Since the launch of the US-Israeli offensive against Iran on February 28, Iraq has been drawn into a regional conflict it has sought to avoid.

Pro-Iranian groups in Iraq claim responsibility on a daily basis for drone attacks and rocket strikes targeting the US military presence, both within Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East.

These attacks have targeted the US Embassy in Baghdad and personnel for an international anti-extremist coalition deployed in Iraq.
