Saudi Arabia strongly condemned on Sunday Iran’s treacherous attacks targeting the territories and territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom's full solidarity with all measures taken by the sisterly Gulf states to safeguard their security and stability.
The Kingdom called for an immediate end to the blatant aggressions against the Gulf states, as well as to any attempts to close the Strait of Hormuz or disrupt international shipping routes. It also underscored the importance of ensuring the protection of international maritime passages in accordance with relevant international law.
On Sunday, the UAE said it intercepted two drones coming from Iran, while Qatar condemned a drone attack that hit a cargo ship coming from Abu Dhabi in its waters. Kuwait said its air defenses had dealt with hostile drones that entered its airspace.
