The Muslim World League (MWL) condemned Israel’s prolonged attacks on Lebanon, the latest of which targeted members of the Lebanese army while they were carrying out their national duty, the Saudi Press Agency said on Saturday.

In a statement issued by MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa condemned the ongoing Israeli violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty and the targeting of its army. He described the attacks as a grave breach of all international and humanitarian norms and laws.

He also conveyed his sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims of the recent attack and to the Lebanese people, reaffirming his full solidarity with the Lebanese Republic in safeguarding its security, stability, and sovereignty.

On Saturday, two Lebanese officers and one soldier were killed in an Israeli strike on a vehicle in south Lebanon.

Several Arab, Islamic, and Gulf bodies strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist attacks targeting Saudi airports, reaffirming their solidarity with the Kingdom and support for all measures taken to protect its security and civilian infrastructure.

The Muslim World League (MWL), Jordan, Bahrain, Arab Interior Ministers Council Secretariat, and GCC Secretary General condemned the latest Houthi aggression against the Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh resulting in the death and injury of several individuals.

They emphasized that such acts violate religious values, as well as international and humanitarian laws and norms, and further demonstrate the criminal nature of the Houthi militia through its deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure.

They reaffirmed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to deter aggression and safeguard its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Later during the day, Syria, Egypt and France joined the condemnations and expressed full solidarity and support for the Kingdom’s efforts to defend its territory and infrastructure against these attacks.

In a statement, France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs called on the Houthi militia to immediately cease its attacks and provocations, warning that they further destabilize the region and exacerbate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced that three people were killed and 36 injured in two separate attacks on its Abha and Riyadh airports on Tuesday and Wednesday.
