Saudi Arabia condemned on Thursday a drone attack that caused a fire aboard two ships at Damietta Port in northern Egypt.
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry underlined the Kingdom’s full solidarity with Egypt and its support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its security and interests.
The Ministry also expressed Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation of Iran's “brutal aggression” against Kuwait and Jordan, including the attack on the premises of a company in northern Kuwait, which resulted in the death of one employee.
Saudi Arabia renewed its “full solidarity with the two countries in all measures they take in response to the Iranian attacks, which violate international law and the principles of good neighborliness.”
Saudi Arabia extended its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and to the government and people of Kuwait, stressing “the importance of the immediate cessation of Iran's blatant attacks on countries in the region” and reaffirming “its complete rejection of attacks targeting vital facilities and civilian areas.”
The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned Iran's continued attacks on Kuwait and Jordan, as well as the drone attack in Egypt.
In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa renewed his condemnation of “these criminal attacks and the targeting of critical infrastructure and civilian facilities,” describing them as “violations of religious values and international humanitarian law and norms, and as a serious threat to the security, stability, and safety of the region and its peoples.”
Al-Issa reaffirmed the league's full solidarity with Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt in all measures they take to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens and residents.
