A senior Saudi official has said that Riyadh was prepared to take all necessary measures to respond to any attack.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official told Reuters that Saudi and US intelligence found that Yemen’s Houthi militias and Iraqi militias under the supervision of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps could soon launch coordinated attacks on Saudi civilian sites.

The official said the reported threats were alarming as Riyadh continued to support de-escalation and a negotiated settlement of the conflict with Iran, adding that mediation efforts appeared to be moving "in the right direction."

According to a Saudi source quoted by Al Arabiya English, some of the intelligence gathered includes observations of missiles and drones being repositioned in preparation for potential simultaneous attacks.
