Official Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Major General Turki Al-Malki said on Friday that air defenses intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia toward Riyadh.
It also destroyed two drones fired by the terrorist group toward Saudi Arabia Southern Region.
The Coalition had on Thursday downed a ballistic missile fired at Najran and nine drones launched at the Eastern Region, Riyadh and Madinah.
The Coalition also categorically denied allegations by the terrorist Houthi militia that Saudi Arabia had threatened to target tribal and civilian gatherings, describing them as false and entirely baseless.
“Both the content and timing of these claims reflect ongoing attempts to mislead public opinion, divert attention from the militia’s own crises and practices, and draw members of authentic Yemeni tribes into its conflicts,” Al-Malki said.
He stressed that Yemeni tribes will remain an integral part of Yemen’s social and historical fabric, a firm pillar of its society, and a bridge of brotherhood between the Saudi and Yemeni peoples, bound by religion, neighborly ties, history, and a shared destiny.
“These bonds are far too deep to be undermined by disinformation campaigns or attempts to sow division and hostility,” he said.
He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s steadfast commitment to Yemen’s security and stability and to maintaining its historic ties with the Yemeni people.
These ties strengthen security and stability, safeguard the interests of both peoples, and prevent Yemeni tribes from being exploited or drawn into conflicts that do not serve the Yemeni people’s aspirations for security, peace, and development, he went on to say.
“The truth will always prevail over disinformation campaigns, and the bonds of brotherhood between the two peoples will remain strong in the face of all attempts to sow discord and division,” he added.
