Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has attended the military parade of the Hajj joint security forces and the bodies involved in Hajj affairs this year.

Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef said it was an “honor” to welcome the Crown Prince.

The minister extended his gratitude to Prince Mohammed for “accepting to preside over this event, which indicates the readiness of the security forces to serve pilgrims, and our ability to protect their security and safety.”

He added: “Our men have proven in the field that they enjoy high professionalism and firm determination to perform their religious, national and humanitarian duties with full recognition of the greatness of the responsibility at this place and time.”

“God has honored Saudi Arabia with servicing pilgrims and ensuring their security and comfort. This country has been proud since the reign of King Abdulaziz, the founder of this country, and his righteous sons after him, of being able to dedicate all capabilities for serving pilgrims through the establishment of great projects in Makkah, Madinah and the holy sites,” the minister added, noting that these efforts multiplied in the era of giving and development, the era of King Salman.

Prince Abdulaziz said the authorities’ efforts to make this Hajj season a success and to provide security and comfort for pilgrims come under the guidance and support of King Salman, the crown prince, and the governors of Makkah and Madinah.

“May God reward the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his crown prince for their great deeds in the service of Islam and Muslims, and may He help us serve pilgrims so they can perform their rituals and return to their home countries safe,” Prince Abdulaziz said.

“May God keep our country safe and prosperous under our good leaders.”

Hajj security forces displayed military might as air force units flew in the parade. Security servicemen raised the flag of Saudi Arabia and portraits showing King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Prince Abdulaziz bin Nayef.
