King Salman Congratulates Japanese PM on New Term

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz congratulated Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on winning a new term in office.

During a phone call between the two leaders, King Salman stated that he looks forward to continue bolstering bilateral relations, in all fields, to best serve mutual interests of the "two friendly nations and peoples".

For his part, Abe thanked the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques for the good sentiments, reiterating his keenness to continue developing bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Japanese leader also congratulated the Custodian and the Kingdom on the success of the recently held Future Investment Initiative.

Abe was re-elected prime minister on Wednesday after his ruling bloc the Liberal Democratic Party secured two-thirds of seats at the elections held at the end of last month.
 
Abe took office in December 2012, and will remain Prime Minister until 2021.

Saudi King Appoints Dr. Majid Al-Fayyad as Advisor to the Saudi Royal Court

In a royal order issued on Wednesday, Saudi Arabia's King Salman appointed Dr. Majid Al-Fayyad as an advisor to the Saudi Royal Court.

The royal decree was based on the Basic Law of Governance and the system of ministers, deputy ministers and employees of the excellent rank.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques called on ministers and relevant authorities to adopt the decree.
