The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has sent a cable of condolences to US President Donald Trump on the deadly truck-ramming attack in New York.
King Salman said Wednesday: "We have been aware of the truck-ramming attack in New York resulting in casualties and injuries. We strongly condemn this terrorist act and express our condolences to your Excellency, families of the victims and the people of the United States of America on behalf of the people and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
“We reiterate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's firm stance rejecting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, stressing the importance of international efforts to confront it,” he added.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, also sent a similar cable of condolences to Trump.
Earlier, an official source at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attack, reiterating the Kingdom's rejection and condemnation of such terrorist acts, reaffirming its solidarity with friendly countries against all forms and manifestations of terrorism and extremism.
