Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz telephoned on Sunday US President Donald Trump to condemn last week’s terrorist attack in the city of New York, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
He said that the attack violates religious values and humanitarian principles, saying that the Kingdom is prepared to help Washington in confronting these evil acts.
He also voiced his support for the measures the US is taking to confront terrorism and protect its national security.
King Salman stressed the need to exert more international efforts to uproot terrorism in all of its forms, as well as dry up its sources of financing.
He offered his condolences to the brotherly American people, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.
For his part, Trump expressed his appreciation for King Salman’s telephone call, praising the Kingdom’s role in spreading moderation and combating terrorism.
The two leaders also discussed bilateral ties and cooperation in all fields, as well as the latest regional and international developments.
