King Salman, Prince Mugrin Receive Condolences After Death of Prince Mansour bin Mugrin

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense received cables of condolences from world leaders, national and international officials on the death of Prince Mansour bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Asir Region, who died and his companions

in a helicopter crash during their inspection tour of a number of projects in the region.


Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz and Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz performed after Asr prayer at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh the funeral prayers for: Prince Mansour bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Asir government undersecretary Suleiman al-Jarish, governor of Mahayel Asir Mohammed al-Muhtami, Municipal Director of Asir Saleh al-Qadi, Director General of Agriculture of Asir Engineer Fahd al-Faratish, Pilot Saud al-Sahli, Captain Abdullah al-Shehri, Captain Khalid bin Humaid, and Captain Nayif al-Rubaie


A number of princes, the Kingdom's Grand Mufti, ministers and a group of citizens also performed the funeral prayer.


King Salman also received condolences cables from: President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President and Premier and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed al-Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed al-Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid al-Nuaimi, and Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Saud bin Saqir al-Qasimi.


In their cables, the officials expressed their sincere sympathies and condolences to the late Prince's royal family and the Saudi people.


During the funeral, Prince of Asir Faisal bin Khalid also offered his condolences to the King, Crown Prince and Prince Mugrin describing the late Prince Mansour bin Muqrin as his brother saying that his loss is a loss to the whole Kingdom. He also said that the late Prince dedicated his time to serve the best of Asir.


Prince Faisal also stated that all the officials who were with Prince Mugrin served the country and worked for the best of the kingdom.


Earlier, several leaders and top officials arrived in Saudi Arabia to offer their condolences including: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Deputy Minister of the Kuwaiti Emiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah al-Sabah, UAE's Minister of Interior Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
