Ahwazi Arab political activist Ahmad Mola was assassinated by anonymous armed men in the Hague on Wednesday. Mola was killed with three shots, one in the head and two in the heart.

Dutch police revealed in a statement that an investigation has been launched but no information on the assassination is reached yet.

Dutch media reported that the Ahwazi politician passed away after the late arrival of the ambulance. According to the police statement, investigation teams closed all roads leading to the shooting area.

Mola, 54, is one of the founders of Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz. He has been residing in Netherlands since 2006.

He is among 13 Ahwazi activists whom the Iranian authorities are demanding European countries to hand them out to Tehran. Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz announced conducting armed operations against Iranian military centers and establishments.

Iranian authorities executed 16 Ahwazis for charges of belonging to the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz.

Ahwazi activists accused Iranian intelligence of standing behind the assassination, a first of its kind in a European country.
