King Salman Arrives in Madinah, Visits Prophet's Mosque

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud arrived in Madinah on Thursday evening from Riyadh.

Prince of Madinah Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz welcomed the Saudi King upon his arrival at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport.

King Salman was welcomed at the airport by Prince Fahd bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Deputy Governor of Madinah Prince Saud bin Khalid bin Faisal, Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Prince Fahd bin Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and Prince Ahmed bin Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The Saudi King was also received by the Secretary of the Madinah Region, Eng. Mohammed al-Amri, the Undersecretary of the Emirate of the Region Wahib al-Sahli, the Commander of Madinah Region Major General Abdullah al-Qahtani, the Director of Police in Medina Region Major General Abdul Hadi al-Shahrani and a number of senior officials and residents of the region.

King Salman visited on Wednesday evening Prophet Mohammad’s Mosque where he performed his prayers.

Oman, Arab League Welcomes US-Russian Talks in Riyadh

Oman welcomed on Tuesday Saudi Arabia’s hosting of talks between the United States and Russia in Riyadh.

Oman’s Foreign Ministry expressed its support for “these initiatives to promote dialogue and diplomacy in pursuit of political solutions that foster peace, security, and stability.”

The Secretariat General of the Arab League also welcomed the talks.

Official Spokesperson for Arab League Secretary-General Jamal Rushdi stated that the Kingdom's hosting of these talks “represents a significant Arab contribution to global efforts aimed at establishing peace,” including resolving the Ukraine war.
