The Coalition Forces Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Friday that Al Ghaydah airport located in Al-Mahra province is now operating to receive aircraft carrying relief and humanitarian assistance.
The airport resumed operations in cooperation with the legitimate government of the Republic of Yemen, said an official source from the coalition.
On Thursday, the first of the Saudi Royal Air Force plane laden with 5,000 tons of foodstuffs provided by Riyadh-based King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid landed in the airport.
The source added that the coalition forces have utilized all potentials and abilities in contributing to delivering humanitarian and relief items to the needy inside Yemen.
