The United Arab Emirates refuted on Sunday allegations by Yemen’s Houthi militias that they had fired rockets towards Abu Dhabi.

UAE's emergency and crisis management department said that the UAE possessed a missile defense system that could deal with any threats.

It added that the al-Barakah nuclear plant was secure against all eventualities.

The department assured Emiratis and residents that the situation in the country was safe, stressing that it will continue to preserve the country’s security.

It called on the people to disregard such malicious claims that are aimed at creating false news and raising doubts over the state’s ability to maintain security.
