President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi called on the Yemeni people on Monday to revolt against the Houthis militias.
He said during a televised address after the death of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh at the hands of the Iran-backed militants: “We should unite in order to eliminate the terrorist militias.”
He offered his condolences to the people over the death of the former president, saying: “Yemen is passing through a fateful phase that requires us all to stand strong and united to confront those sectarian militias.”
The Yemeni people have had enough suffering and “they only deserve a dignified life,” continued Hadi.
“I have counted and still count on the people to side with the republic, revolution and its values,” he added.
“Sana’a rose up in the name of its Arab identity and it will be victorious in spite of everything,” he vowed.
“We will forge ahead towards victory. This is the trust we have in our people and the justice that we call for,” he stressed.
Hadi also offered his condolences to the people over the loss of life in the past two days in the Sana’a uprising, calling on the Yemenis who are still suffering under the criminal Houthi terrorists to revolt and resist them.
