Sudan announced on Saturday a state of emergency in two states, reported the government news agency SUNA.
The six-month state of emergency was declared for Kassala and North Kurdufan, said President Omar al-Bashir.
The move is part of ongoing disarmament campaigns which started near Darfur and Blue Nile in October.
