The Arab Coalition Forces Command said Sunday that the coalition conducted a special operation to evacuate two pilots after their fighter jet crashed due to a technical failure.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Colonel Turki Al-Malki, Spokesman of the Joint Coalition Forces, disclosed that a Saudi Royal Air Force fighter jet suffered a technical fault after conducting an operation to support legitimacy in Yemen.

The warplane crashed in the operation zone but its crew suffered no injuries, he said.

"The Arab Coalition Forces Command conducted a private joint operation in participation of air and land forces to evacuate two pilots to Saudi Arabia," the spokesman added.
