Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced on Thursday major updates to his company's services, including users' news feed.
“I‘m changing the goal I give our product teams from focusing on helping you find relevant content to helping you have more meaningful social interactions,” Zuckerberg wrote on Facebook.
"But recently we've gotten feedback from our community that public content -- posts from businesses, brands and media -- is crowding out the personal moments that lead us to connect more with each other," he added.
He elaborated that he expects from these changes to make "sure that Facebook is time well spent."
Zuckerberg expects the time people spend on Facebook will go down.
