Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent a letter to Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, inviting him to attend the annual camel race as part of the National Festival for Heritage and Culture (Janadriyah 32) in Riyadh.

The letter was delivered by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Kuwait Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim al-Fayez during a meeting with the Emir, which was also attended by Minister of Emiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah.

In other news, and under the patronage of King Salman, Minister of Higher Education Ahmed al-Issa launched on Sunday a two-day conference on the duty of Saudi universities and their impact on protecting youth from the danger of some groups and parties.

The conference is organized by Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University.

On this occasion, University director Sheikh Sulaiman Aba al-Khail, thanked King Salman for his support for the conference and the university.

Aba al-Khail, who is also member of the Council of Senior Scholars, asserted that it is their duty and responsibility to protect young people from misguided ideas and misconceptions. He warned against division that destroys societies.

He pointed out that the Imam University is an example of education and guidance for its students.

Aba al-Khail praised the conference for its studies, research, visions, discussions and dialogues that seek the best interest of young men and women in this institution and all Saudi universities.

The director of the Imam University said that the title of the conference is very important because it aims to raise awareness among youth, especially at this critical stage with all the hatred and corruption disseminated through the media, namely social media.

For his part, chairman of the preparatory committee for the conference Abdul-Aziz al-Haleel said that the university, based on its scientific, social and educational responsibility, has taken upon itself the organization and establishment of programs and events to protect and follow the teachings of the Koran.
