Ambassadors Accredited to Saudi Arabia Tour NEOM
A delegation of ambassadors to Saudi Arabia paid a visit on Sunday to NEOM.
The new dynamic destination is part of the ambitious aspirations of Vision 2030 to transform the Kingdom into a leading global model that will outshine major cities in competitiveness and lifestyle.
The visit is part of a series of tours organized by the Foreign Ministry.
The delegation was briefed on the unique features of NEOM, located in northwestern Saudi Arabia and stretching between three countries to cover an area of over 26,000 square kilometers.
They toured al-Bad, an oasis that was inhabited since prehistoric times. The area boasts nine major archaeological sites.
They then toured the shores of NEOM that stretch over 460 kms.
The mega project is set to attract global companies and investment and increase the Kingdom’s GDP, transforming it into a hub that connects three continents. The entire project will be operated by renewable energy.
