Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman has met with Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi in Riyadh.
The Deputy Defense Minister reaffirmed the Kingdom’s stance in supporting legitimacy in Yemen to counter the Iran-backed Houthi militias and to preserve the country’s unity, security and stability.
Prince Khalid also praised Hadi’s keenness to resolve controversial issues through dialogue.
In a tweet, Prince Khalid said he discussed with the Yemeni President the importance of maintaining dialogue and coordination between the two countries to counter the Houthi insurgents and fight terrorism.
Friday's meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed al-Jaber and several Yemeni officials, including Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh and Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik.
