The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, received in Riyadh on Sunday President of the Sudanese Sovereign Council General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok.
The Saudi King held a luncheon in honor of the Sudanese officials.
He later held talks with Burhan and Hamdok.
At the outset of the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed wishes of further progress and prosperity in Sudan.
The head of the Sovereign Council expressed his country's pride in the Kingdom's stances regarding Sudan and its keenness on its security and stability.
Then, they reviewed the relations between the two countries and peoples, as well as ways of enhancing and developing bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Information Minister and Government Spokesman Faisal Mohammad Saleh told Asharq Al-Awsat earlier that the two Sudanese officials are set to visit Saudi Arabia on Sunday and UAE on Monday.
