Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Kurdistan President Discuss Bilateral Cooperation
Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received in Abu Dhabi on Monday President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani.
Discussions focused on the ties of cooperation between the UAE and Kurdistan, particularly in economic, investment, developmental and humanitarian affairs.
They also discussed a number of regional issues, reported the UAE news agency (WAM).
They spelled out their determination to develop cooperation across all fronts, with a particular emphasis on trade and investment.
Sheikh Mohamed underlined the UAE's keenness on fostering fraternal ties with Iraq.
Barzani hailed the evolving relations between the two sides and hailed the support provided by the UAE to help the Kurdistan Region survive the challenges associated with hosting the displaced and refugees scattered across a number of the region's areas.
