Lieutenant General Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, commander of the Saudi-led coalition forces, has affirmed that the Decisive Storm and the Restoring Hope operations are based on the concept of restoring the Yemeni legitimacy according to the three references.
This remains the purpose of the coalition, he stressed. He noted that the coalition forces are fighting the terrorist militia, which is backed by a terrorist regime.
His statements were made on the sideline of the closing ceremony of the 5th training course on international law, which was hosted by the Armed Forces Officers Club in Riyadh on Thursday.
Prince Fahd said that these training courses were inspired by guidelines of the true Islamic religion to spread all that is beneficial to humanity. He underscored the importance of knowledge and awareness as well as abiding by international law even in the most unfavorable conditions.
Bin Turki added that no comparison must be made between the coalition forces and the militias because the latter were oppressing Yemenis, fighting the government, dragging children to war, and using civilian areas to store weapons.
Representatives from the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Saudi Public Prosecutors' Office, the International Committee of the Red Cross, King Salman Humanitarian Aid, and Relief Center and a number of officers from the armed forces participated in the training course.
At the conclusion of the training, Prince Fahd honored the participants.
