Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received in Riyadh on Sunday Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Discussions focused on the preparations for the upcoming 40th GCC summit hosted by Riyadh on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Advisor, Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.

Qatar, Egypt Stress Coordination to Maintain Gaza Ceasefire

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held talks with Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly on the margins of the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos.

They tackled cooperation between their countries and ways of strengthening and developing them, said Qatar's state news agency (QNA).

They discussed means of ensuring the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of detainees and prisoners.

Sheikh Mohammed underscored the continued coordination between Qatar and Egypt within the framework of joint mediation that guarantees that the parties implement the ceasefire.

They also reviewed the latest developments in Syria.
