The Sudanese Armed Forces announced a reshuffle of military staff that both included forced resignations and appointments in a number of departments.
The constitutional mandate provided for the restructuring of the statutory bodies to conform to the civil rule in the country, and the task was entrusted to military staffers in the Transitional Sovereign Council.
Military spokesperson Brigadier General Amer Mohammed al-Hassan said that accomplishing the goals of the revolution demands restructuring national institutions during the transition phase.
Hassan, in a statement, said that the comprehensive restructuring of the defense system will play a major role in the economic development and defense readiness of the country.
The military spokesperson also said that the restructuring comes in the context of modernizing the localization of defense needs.
He added that these steps come within the framework of achieving strategic goals, supporting the national economy, and recruiting young people according to experience and qualification.
